The Supreme Court of India has announced a hackathon to be held from August 1, 2024, to August 31, 2024. The primary goal of Hackathon 2024 is to explore innovative AI technologies for integration into the Supreme Court’s Registry operations. These technologies must comply with the Supreme Court Rules, 2013, and enhance the Court's efficiency, accuracy, and overall functionality.

Exploring solutions in Artificial Intelligence-based technology for improving and further streamlining the official functions performed in the Registry of the Supreme Court of India.
Problem Statements
Statement-A
Development of an artificial intelligence-based model for extraction of data including metadata, data fields such as name of parties, address, Act, section – legal provisions, subject categories, identification of formats of petitions such as special leave petition – Form 28, Supreme Court Rules 2013, statutory appeals, etc., to facilitate in scrutiny of cases, removal of defects.
Statement-B:
Development of an artificial intelligence-based model for conversational use case chatbot in English and scheduled languages of the Constitution of India, 1950, to answer queries about case-related information, summarization of judgments, court documents, etc.
