Educational Qualification
Fresher’s Category Minimum Academic/Technical Qualification:
1. Fitter: Passed 10th Class with at least 50% aggregate marks under the 10+2 system of education.
2. Welder (Gas & Electric): Passed 10th Class with at least 50% aggregate marks under the 10+2 system of education.
3. Medical Laboratory Technicians: Passed 12th Class with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology with at least 50% aggregate marks under the 10+2 system of education.
EX-ITI Category Minimum Academic/Technical Qualification:
1. Fitter, Turner, Machinist, Electrician, Mechanic-Motor Vehicle: Passed 10th Class with at least 50% aggregate marks with Science and Mathematics under the 10+2 system and completed ITI in the relevant trade from a government-recognized ITI. Must possess a certificate issued by the National Council for Vocational Training (NCVT) or State Council for Vocational Training (SCVT) in the relevant trade.
2. Welder (Gas & Electric), Carpenter, Plumber, Mechanic-Machine Tool Maintenance, Mechanic-Refrigeration and Air Conditioning, Mechanic-Diesel, Electronics Mechanic, Painter (General): Passed 10th Class with at least 50% aggregate marks under the 10+2 system and completed ITI in the relevant trade from a government-recognized ITI. Must possess a certificate issued by NCVT/SCVT in the relevant trade.
3. Wireman: Passed 10th Class with at least 50% aggregate marks under the 10+2 system and completed ITI in the relevant trade from a government-recognized ITI. Must possess a certificate issued by NCVT/SCVT in the trades of Wireman and Electrician.
4. Programming and Systems Administration Assistant (PASAA): Passed 10th Class with at least 50% aggregate marks under the 10+2 system and holds a National Trade Certificate issued by NCVT in “Computer Operator and Programming”.
5. Computer Operator and Programming Assistant (COPA): Passed 10th Class with at least 50% aggregate marks under the 10+2 system and completed ITI in the relevant trade from a government-recognized ITI. Must possess a certificate issued by NCVT/SCVT in the relevant trade.
6. Information & Communication Technology System Maintenance (ICTSM): Passed 10th Class with at least 50% aggregate marks under the 10+2 system and completed ITI in the relevant trade from a government-recognized ITI. Must possess a certificate issued by NCVT/SCVT in:
a. Information and Communication Technology System Maintenance
b. Information Technology and Electronic System Maintenance
c. Broad-Based Basic Training in Information Technology Sector under Centre of Excellence Scheme and Advanced Module of Centre of Excellence Scheme in Repair and Maintenance of Hardware of Computer and Peripherals.
7. Draughtsman (Civil): Passed 10th Class with at least 50% aggregate marks under the 10+2 system and completed ITI in the relevant trade from a government-recognized ITI. Must possess a certificate issued by NCVT/SCVT in the relevant trade.
8. Advanced Welder: Passed 10th Class with at least 50% aggregate marks under the 10+2 system and completed ITI in the relevant trade from a government-recognized ITI. Must possess a certificate issued by NCVT/SCVT in:
a. Broad-Based Basic Training in Production and Manufacturing Sector under Centre of Excellence Scheme and Advanced Module of Centre of Excellence Scheme in Advance Welding.
b. Welder.
9. Instrument Mechanic: Passed 10th Class with at least 50% aggregate marks under the 10+2 system and completed ITI in the relevant trade from a government-recognized ITI. Must possess a certificate issued by NCVT/SCVT in the relevant trade.
10. SSA (Stenographer & Secretarial Assistant): Passed 10th Class with at least 50% aggregate marks under the 10+2 system and completed ITI in the relevant trade from a government-recognized ITI. Must possess a certificate issued by NCVT/SCVT in:
a. Stenography (English).
b. Secretarial Practice.

The candidates should have completed 15 years of age and should not have completed 22/24 years for Freshers/Ex-ITI, MLT respectively.

SC/ ST Candidates: 5 years
OBC Candidates: 3 years
PwBD (Gen/ EWS) Candidates: 10 years
PwBD (SC/ ST) Candidates: 15 years
PwBD (OBC) Candidates: 13 years

Stipend will be paid as per the directions of Railway Board.
