DEBEL Junior Research Fellow Vacancy & Required Educational Qualification


Tenure:
The Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) is initially awarded for a period of two years. Based on performance, it may be upgraded to a Senior Research Fellowship (SRF) for the third year. The SRF may be extended for an additional year, making the total tenure up to four years.

Age Limit:
The maximum age limit for JRF applicants is 28 years as of the closing date for application submission. Age relaxation is available for SC/ST and OBC candidates as per Government of India rules. The closing date for receipt of applications is September 10, 2024.

How to Apply:
After confirming that all eligibility criteria are met, candidates should download and complete the application form in the prescribed format. The form is available in the ‘What’s New’ section of the DRDO website (www.drdo.gov.in).

The signed application form, along with supporting documents for minimum educational qualifications, a matriculation or birth certificate as proof of date of birth, a GATE/NET scorecard (if applicable and valid as of the application closing date), and a caste certificate (if applicable), should be scanned into a single PDF file. The file should be named in the format [SUBJECT CODE_YOUR NAME_DATE OF EMAIL] and emailed to hrd.debel.debel@gov.in before the closing date.


Screening of the applications will “be carried out by a duly constituted Screening Committee and the shortlisted candidates will be interviewed through Interview as mentioned for which date will be intimated to shortlisted candidates.

Selection Procedure

1. Eligible candidates will be invited for an interview based on the qualifying criteria.
2. The GATE paper and the subjects of the qualifying degree must be relevant to the discipline for which the candidate is applying.
3. Preference will be given to candidates with work experience in the relevant subject area.
