The scheme provides financial support to set up bioethanol plants, with a total financial outlay of ₹1,968 crore over six years (2018-2024). This support includes both capital and operational expenditure subsidies. - Employment Generation:
The establishment of bioethanol plants is expected to create job opportunities, especially in rural areas, thereby contributing to rural development.
